If the apps also turn against us

apps

Do you remember when you were boys (I speak at least for those born in the 80s), the technology was still “primitive” and a walkman (the cassette ancestor of the mp3 player) lasted about ten years. Yes, there was no such rapid evolution in electronic products ..!

But with the rapidity and evolution of new technologies, products last just a year, or rather the new, more advanced product comes out every year.

In fact, we started talking about programmed obsolescence …. Or the updating of products that leads old ones to become unused. Example you have an iPhone 6 well you can’t update it to IOS 13 and this is a real problem because you can’t keep up with the times and you have to update and change to the new model every 2/3 years. If you don’t want to do it, you can still use your ‘old’ phone knowing that the apps will still work with some problems.

But if the applications also start using programmed obsolescence …? Well apparently whatsapp in the first few months of 2020 will start not to work on old smartphone models, surely it will hang on the windows phone, phones gone by now in disuse, but there is also talk of old iPhones that mount iOS 8 and on Android 2.3. 7 gingerbread, the only way to still have a working whatsapp will be to have a newer phone.

Stay Tuned!
